Flint, me. (WJRT) Flint police officers were involved in a shootout when they tried to arrest a 25-year-old man with an arrest warrant on the north side of the city on Wednesday morning.

The Flint Police Department was in the Rolling Woods Manor Complex in the 2400 Block of the West Pierson Road at 10 a.m. to arrest the suspect, which was named in an arrest warrant due to an undisclosed criminal complaint.

The police say that the suspect had driven a vehicle to civil servants while trying to flee. The officials opened the fire on the vehicle before the 25-year-old continued.

The Flint police arrested the suspect and went to a regional hospital for the medical examination. The investigators did not say whether balls hit the suspect or whether he suffered injuries.

The Flint Police Department has applied for an investigation by the Michigan State Police in the actions of the officials on site.

After completing the incident, reports on the incident will be forwarded to the Genesee County public prosecutor, in which the civil servants have criminal charges.
