Florida against Missouri Sec tournament preview

Florida had to wait until late Thursday evening to find out who her opponent would be, and after they would withstand a physical struggle from the state of Mississippi, it was the Missouri Tigers who gained a advance to take over the gator.

Missouri was one of the best stories from the SEC season selected in the previous season to reach the 13th place after one year in which she won shocking in the league. The tigers were able to drastically carry out this prediction in the SEC and find themselves in the AP survey #21 that spoke to the national recognition they deserved. The Tigers earned the 7th Seed before taking on Mississippi in the first round, which moved up after the destruction of the LSU, but they had no steam than Mizzou won 85-73 in one or two possessions in one or two possessions within one or two possessions.

In view of the fact that Florida was the second seed in the SEC and received a double circumstances, it was probably expected that they would come across a team against which they would feel safe, but they will come across one of the few teams in the league that actually received a loss this year. Florida and Missouri tipped over in January and the Tigers increased the early jump around 19 in the first half, and while the Gator were able to minimize the deficit, which Missouri still met with a win of 83-82. While this game was almost two months ago – Inlouri becomes confident that you can beat the Gator, and Florida's preparation for the game will be about decrypting what went wrong in the earlier matchup and how you can tidy up things the second time.

In this meeting, Missouri was able to slow down the game and to take the gators out of the transition, which made it a half jerk game in which both teams were exchanged for established defense. The Gators are a team that loves to go up and down and play in the transition. This was a pace that definitely benefited the Tigers, and that was a big reason why Missouri could be successful. Caleb Grill, who had 22 points, was particularly dangerous when he scored 6-10 out of three, many of whom came from set pieces that open it creatively. At the other end, Florida tried against the old, experienced squad in Missouri and stepped around the ball when they tried to ultimately turn the ball around the 13th, another area that they definitely want to clean up.

One of the most interesting elements of this game was the fact that Missouri did something that very few teams did this year. The Tigers had 15 offensive rebounds (an excellent 38% stress return), while the Gator 12 and Missouris extra offensive rebounds together with the amount of steals they had had that they had a bunch of more possessions than the Gator. Florida almost always gains the possession of ownership due to its offensive back rash and enables them to still collect points when their shots are not falling, and this game shows that if they are supposed to lose this category, they can come out on the wrong side of the result. Missouri is one of the few teams with the size that with the Gators with 6'9 “, 235 pound mark Mitchell, 6'10”, 220 pounds of trent pierce, 7'0 “, 260 pound Josh Gray and 7'0”, 300 pounds Peyton Marshall, and Florida has to react in this way of a higher way.

While it used to be Missouris Frontcourt against the Gators against the Gators in the season, it was the back yard that was awarded for the SEC tournament, with Tamar Bates collecting 25 points, while Tony Perkins had 20 points and 4 assists. Against the Gators, these two have put together only 14 points in one of their lowest starting games of the season, but this time they play much better basketball and can cause problems with their size and physicality at the waxplace. Perkins, who is at 6'4 ”and 200 pounds, is really big for a point guard and he is not someone who is a particularly good shooter. Bates, a 6'5 ”, 195 -pfund -Schießerwähr, also has a length of advantage if you will play against the Gators against the Gaters and search for an improved performance on Friday.

In the last week around the Florida program, there were some discussions on how important it was to move forward in the SEC tournament instead of saving legs for the NCAA tournament. Nobody would expressly say that they hoped to bow early from the Sec tournament, but there was discussion about how they didn't necessarily want to leave everything on the floor. Florida, of course, lost handlogs through a season injury in last year's SEC tournament, and that wasn't actually Todd Golden's first bad luck in a conference tournament. Last year in San Francisco, the Dons Yauhen Massalski, one of his best players and most important front court players in the first round of the WCC tournament, lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament over time -they are surprised what they would have if they are completely healthy. Golden from these two moments may have scanned and expressed some concerns to do everything in the Sec tournament.

Well, that was until the SEC Awards came out.

Florida's changing room felt offended by several results, whether the All-Sec teams, the 6th man of the year, the defensive player of the year or the coach of the year, and Golden came out in a press conference to suggest that the Snubs were fuel for the team and that they came to Nashville to win everything. You can expect the Gator to get hard for the next few days and see how regular rotation plays a lot of minutes when you look ahead.

It is generally recognized that the SEC is one of the strongest years in the history of college basketball this year and will give a lot of influence with every team that can ultimately reduce the networks. In addition, it will have a positive impact on the team that wins to know that you can go through several talented teams – exactly what you have to do if you want to win a NCAA tournament championship.

Florida and Missouri will compete on Friday, March 14th, at 7 p.m. et, and it is broadcast in the Sec Network.
