Florida ends up outside the top 10 at the Sec -Indoor Championships

The 2025 SEC indoor championships ended with a new champion and a familiar face that came back to the top.

For the 13th time in a row, Arkansas was crowned as an indoor champions of the women's conference with a total of 117.5 points. Texas A&M received his first inner conference title in the program history to reach the five -year series of Razorbacks as men. The Aggies ended with 107.5 points and Arkansas took second place with 102.

Florida could not reach the top 5 on both sides. The women's team took 11th place with 34 points and the men's team took the last 15th place with 15 points. Both teams were second place in Arkansas last year, which both won both conference titles.

Florida's surfaces

Although the Gators had not reproduced the success of last year, they still had strong performances at several events.

Tia Wilson won gold in the mile of women. The junior from England ended with 4:30 a.m. to a personal best and ends up in third place in the UF TOP 10.

Hilda Olemomoi brought the second medal home for the Gator by earning silver in the 3000 m of women. It ran an 8: 57.50 pace, which was good for second place.

Anthaya Charlton added her strong performance in the meeting with a seventh place in the 60 m. Their 7.27 pace secured two points to the Gator.

On the men's side, Florida was fourth in the 4 × 400 of the men with a time of 3: 05.43. The performance scored a further four points for the Gator and came for third place from Tennessee.

Demaris Waters and Sam Austin took fifth place in their respective events and added four points to Florida's total.

The water ended with a time of 7.67 in the 60 -M hurdles of the men. His performance was a personal best and pushed him into 5th place in the program history.

Florida also added points on the field, with the Freshman Asia Phillips in the brazen brazen triple diving. Her 13.38m jump added a point to the Gators. The first semester India Alix took 13th place in the same event and Jaden Lippett took the 10th place on the men's side.

Florida will return to Gainesville and prepare to return to the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia. The two -day competition is set for March 14 to 15.
