To watch new faces

Nineteen players from signing class 2025 registered early and took part in the conditioning on the campus outside the season. Some include four stars: Vernell Brown III, Dallas Wilson and Ben Hanks Jr.

The broad receiver Vernell Brown III from Orlando Jones High School completed 70 passes for 1,363 yards and achieved 10 touchdowns, four of which were in special teams. last year. Brown III is expected to be a strong recipient for the Gator.

Dallas Wilson is another TOP -WIDE recipient that the Gators signed. In his final year at Tampa Bay Tech, he caught 41 passes for 677 yards and achieved nine touchdowns. He led his team to the regional final during his junior season.

Another dominant participant is the Cornerback Ben Hanks Jr. Florida, but he already knows how to maneuver the crime because he had 13 interceptions at Booker T. Washington High School last year.

The new newcomer and the transfer class in Florida will strengthen the gators during the 2025 season. J. Michael Sturdivant, a transfer from UCLA, offers a potential big goal for quarterback DJ Lagway with 6-foot 3 and £ 205. Sturdivant had 22 catches for 215 yards and two TDS for the Bruins last season.

The gators will also have new faces in the coaching team. Florida commissioned Washington Safeties coach Vinnie Suneri as a replacement for Austin Armstrong and becomes co-defensive coordinator and security trainer. Sunseri worked under Nick Saban as a player and assistant in Alabama and under Bill Belichick as Running Backs coach at the New England Patriots.

Secondary coach Will Harris left UF unexpectedly last month and was quickly replaced by Arkansa's Secondary Coach Deron Wilson, who worked under Napier in 2022 as a quality control assistant.

Eyes on returnees

Returning athletes will also have light on them. After LAGway ended the season as a starter with 1,915 fits and 101 rushing yards, Lagway is pressure to continue to win the Gators to the victories, as he did in the last four games of the 2024 season.

Myles Graham is another newcomer that is expected to play well after being appointed to the Sec All-Freshman team. Jadan Baugh was also in the all-Freshman team after having rushed 673 yards.

Florida returns four starters in the offensive line, led by the All-American Center Jake Slaughter, the left Tackle Austin Barber, the left security guard Knijeah Harris and the right guard Dameion George Jr.

“We have the right mix, an experienced example and newcomers who choose to be here,” said Napier last month. “So, it's a big, long, fast group and seems to get along quite well and work properly.”
