Florida Gator 2025 Spring Positional Outlook: Running Backs

Gainesville, Florida When the new season approaches, the Florida Gators will try after a strong degree in 2024 after a strong degree in the 2024 campaign after the fourth year by head coach Billy Napier.

Known faces return, but the Gators saw the usual squad use with 19 total reins from last season in the off -season, 13 of which stood over the NCAA transfer portal, and much more because they make their recovery.

As a result, the Gators added 31 players with a 26-log high school class and a five-signal transfer portal class.

Gators illustrated If every position breaks down in Florida's squad, since the team is concerned with a review of the performance of the individual units 2024 and an outlook in the 2025 season and each position group is checked with a final deep -finishing forecast during the autumn camp.

After the quarterbacks have been presented, there is next the running backs, in which the Gators return a strong dynamic duo from 2024 with a lot of depth.

Although it had one of the most experienced backs in college football in Montrell Johnson Jr., it was two inexperienced players who broke back in 2024 in the true newcomer Jadan Baugh and the former Ju'kobi Jackson Juco.

When Johnson fought John against injuries last year, Baugg achieved immediate success of 673 yards and seven points, five of whom won against Kentucky to achieve a school record. In the meantime, Jackson also set up strong figures and set up 509 yards and seven points, which were emphasized by a 119-yard effort in the defeat against Texas.

This does not mean that Johnson was completely absent. Although he was missing the entire second half of the defeat against Tennessee, he was six points with six goals with six goals in his last collegiate season with 593 yards and six goals with 593 yards and six points with six goals. His rushing efforts also led him to exceed the 3,000 yard brand for career rushing yards.

BauGH will lead the group in 2025 with Jackson directly behind, but the point for the third back of the gator in the rotation remains wide open.

From and in

Only scholarship players

Baugh and Jackson are the clear managers in the room in Billy Napier's two-man rotation for his offense, but Florida has also achieved a certain success with a third back within the offensive.

In 2022 it was nothing at the beginning of the season. In 2023 it was the newcomer Treyaun Webb, which played the role again in 2024 before injuries ended his season, which led to the appearance of Baugh and Jackson.

Now webb is healthy and the Gators also have a core group of young people who are willing to make a contribution if their numbers are called up.

The redshirt newcomer KD Daniels returns after a strong performance in the team's Bowl game, in which he recorded 55 yards and his first career touchdown. Florida also has three talented first semester in Waltez Clark, Byron Louis and Chad Gasper (PWO).

Despite the young talent of recruitment class 2025, Webb and Daniels will see the two in the entire camp. Webb deserves a redefine after playing only in four games last year, but his 5.4 meters per rush on average in his first two years see an insight into what he is capable of.

In the meantime, Daniels, Mississippis 2023 Gatorade -Football player of the year, could be ready for a larger role on the offensive, especially with a strong offensive line with four starters who return from him.

With the talent there is a chance Napier and Running Backs trainer Jabbar Juluke give up their traditional three-man rotation for a group with four backs, even if this means less per game for Baugh or Jackson. The talent in the room gives the staff the opportunity to experiment without losing production, although it will not change the fact that BauGH and Jackson will be the managers.

2025 will not be much different from the first three years of the Napier era regarding the return position. There is probably no 1,000 yard rusher or a single function. It worked in the first three years, and now for the fourth year the running back room is ready for another strong year, no matter who gets the ball.
