The authorities said on Tuesday that a criminal investigation by the homemade female influencers Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan was opened in Florida.

The two brothers arrived in the state last week, although they were put on trial for rape, human trafficking, money laundering and sex with a minor.

Attorney General James Uthmeier exhibited on X that he had instructed his office to work with the law enforcement authorities in order to carry out a preliminary examination of the Tate brothers, including the public prosecutor's request, search for searches and lectures.

Uthmeier said that both brothers had “admittedly admitted to participating in what apparently is apparently suitable for exciting human trafficking and women around the world”.

He added that several victims, including minors, had been reported.

The governor of Florida, Ron Desantis, said on Thursday that the brothers were not welcome in the state and warned that the Attorney General would examine whether Florida is responsible.

Andrew Tate has trimmed back on social media, claimed the proposed investigation as an example of “communism” and published messages again that Desantis tries to embarrass the Trump administration by starting an investigation.

In a media appearance on Monday, Andrew Tate denied any wrongdoing and said he had a US pass and the right to visit his home country. He also said that he had not broken any laws and was not sentenced or sentenced to a crime.

Influence of fees and accusations

The brothers Tate, who are double US UK citizens, were arrested in Romania at the end of 2022 and formally charged

In January, an appellate court returned the case of the couple to the public prosecutor, which led to their dismissal from the house arrest, although they were not allowed to leave the country.

They face an additional civil order of a woman in the United States who claimed that the brothers forced them to work sex and slandered them when they testified to the Romanian authorities.

The influencers are also charged in Great Britain, where the police accuse human trafficking and rape between 2012 and 2015. The brothers deny the indictment.

Last week the couple rose to a flight from Romania to the USA. Your lawyer confirmed Euronews that they should go to Florida and report to the Romanian police once a month.

The crime, both of whom supported Donald Trump's presidential offer last year, went shortly after the new administration in Washington had spoken to the Romanian authorities.

The Romanian government has denied that the United States put it under pressure. Trump's special representative Richard Grenell showed the brothers' theme with the Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu during a conversation at the Munich Security Conference in February.
