Florida Outmuscles, Outhustles Alabama 99-94

In one night when Mark Sears and his older teammates were honored in the Coleman Coliseum, 7th place Alabama Crimson Tide lost to Florida on Wednesday evening with 99 to 94.

Again and again battles landed around loose balls in the hands of the gators. Again and again rebounds went to the Gators. In fact, Florida Alabama 50-35 exceeded and took 16 offensive boards.

“I don't know if it is a delay from the hard loss in Tennessee or whether our boys are only tired,” said Tide head coach Nate Oats after the flood had suffered its fourth loss in six games. “To exceed 15, we have to find out before we go to Auburn.”

Sears scored 30 points, but eight of his ten buckets were in color. It was only 2 out of 10 from the 3-point range.

Walter Clayton Jr. was the best guard on the floor and scored with the same skills. Clayton, just like him, when he led his Gator to a win in Auburn at the beginning of this season, was calm and under control. He scored 22 points and scored eight templates. Three of these templates were Alleyoops from Alex Condon, who scored 27 points and collected 10 rebounds. The Gators first pulled a program off and achieved two street profits via AP Top 10 teams.

Alabama completes his three-game gauntlet on Saturday at 1:30 a.m. in Auburn. The tigers will also be very angry. You lost on Tuesday evening at #22 Texas A&M.
