Florida scores 46 points as number 1 Texas takes the Sec-Co champion title

For most teams, it would be just as discouraging that a top opponent in her last game of the regular season is on the task-especially if her last rank victory came in 2022. UF head coach Kelly Rae Finley and her gator squad viewed this challenge as a “cool opportunity”.

The Florida Gators entered the sold -out Moody Center in Austin, Texas, with a way of thinking to compete and leave everything on the hardwood.

Florida (14-16, 5-11 seconds) suffered an amazing defeat against No. 1 (29-2, 15: 1) against No. 1 (29-2, 15: 1) on Sunday afternoon when the Longhorns secured the title of the regular season CO champion of the SEC in their first year in the conference.

Although the Gators had an early 8: 3 lead in the middle of the first quarter, it was short-lived because Florida ended with his game with the lowest score of the season.

In the fourth quarter, McGill and Kyle closed with five personal fouls Reynolds on the bench, while the newcomer Me'arah O'Neal reached their fourth foul.

Uf started the game 8-0 in the color and led an 8-1 lead. Kyle and McGill led the run with four points each.

However, the Longhorns reacted with their own 15: 2 run to end the first quarter with a lead of 16: 10.

At half -time Texas used 12 forced sales and scored 10 points. Ut ended with 21 points of 23 forced sales. The Gators exceeded the Longhorns 40-33.

The Gators fought aggressively and shot 33% from the field compared to the 46% of the longhorns.

Madison Booker, who was double digits with 12 points in the second year in the second year. She finished from the field with 14 points to 6 out of 10. In the first half, no Florida player scored more than four points, including McGill, the team's usual goal scorer. However, she took the pace with five points in the third quarter. At the end of the game, McGill achieved nine points with 3-from 6 fields and 3-von 4 free throws.

Before Kyle goes down, he was the first and only gator in the fourth quarter to reach double-digit digits in the fourth quarter, with 12 points on 4-von-6 varieties and 4-von 4 free throws.

The Longhorns exceeded Florida in the third quarter with 25-13 and achieved a comfortable 23-point lead at the start of the last quarter.

Florida continued to fight in the fourth quarter and stayed close behind Texas at 18-15. Despite a commendable team efforts, the gators were far too deep in a hole to run a real fight.

Now Florida will prepare for the trip to Greenville, South Carolina, to take part in the Sec tournament. The gators, which are locked up in the bracket for No. 11 seeds, will still find their first game of their opponent on Wednesday at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
