Florida Sheriffs are connected to the ice sheets to illegally deport criminals in the country

Sheriffs in Florida work with immigration and customs authorities to identify and remove criminals that are illegal in the country.

“There is no room for the discussion about those who are illegal in this country who are footers who commit crimes who do not obey our laws. These people have to go and they have to go today, ”said Bob Gualtieri, Sheriff of Pinellas County.

The Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) announced on Monday that every district prison in the entire state will operate under the 287 (G) programs of ICE. The programs enable ICE to delegate immigration authorities to the local law enforcement authorities.

“There are a number of ways of how Sheriffs and other local law enforcement authorities can help ice cream, and we should help ice cream because ICE does not have the resources to do it alone,” said Gualtieri.

The 287 (G) program contains three different models. One thing is the program of the Warrant Service Officer, in which officials are trained and certified within the prisons to serve arrest guards if someone who is illegal in the country is booked.

“If you have a prisoner, ice cream will be notified. If this person is ready to leave the prison, our employees can keep this arrest warrant for an additional 48 hours, and ice cream comes and takes them in custody, ”said Bill Prummell, Sheriff and FSA President of Charlotte County.

The program will be in operation in Florida prisons in the next 15 to 30 days. However, there are resource concerns due to the lack of space in some district prisons.

“We have to create the federal government of capacity. I had 30 beds last week. The [Pinellas County] Sheriff lets her sleep on the floor, ”said the Sheriff Grady Judd from Polk County.

Another program under 287 (G), for which the officials receive training in the future, is the Street Task Force.

It enables state and local law enforcement to enforce the limited immigration authority through ice surveillance during its routine police tasks. It was stopped in 2012 after an investigation by the Ministry of Justice found a widespread racist profil creation.
