For the time being, pistons continue their upward trend

The Detroit Pistons are on a role. With a 106: 97 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday evening, they extended their winning streak to seven game-thirting long runs in the 2014-15 season.

Cade Cunningham led the indictment with 32 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals and only threw four three-point three-point calls against the Atlanta Hawks one day after his 38-point outbreak. The guard in the fourth year continues to build on its first all-star campaign and consolidate its place as one of the brightest young stars in the league.

Cunningham drove Detroit to a 32-26 record and positioned it as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference and firmly in the playoff mix. A post-season borrowing area would mark the first of the franchise since 2018-19 and the first under Cunningham's lead.

During the winning series of the Pistons, the Star Guard achieved an average of 27.2 points per game, the 11th highest in the NBA, while its 9.5 assists per game are among the top 5 of the league. He also shoots an impressive 44.7 percent of beyond the arch.

Malik Beasley and Tobias Harris have also taken up as important contributors who have an average of 20.0 and 19.0 points per game. Beasley was particularly fatal from three, which has achieved 51.4 percent of his attempts and only remained Anthony Edwards for the most of the threes that have been made this season (229).

Detroit's offenses in the NBA in the offensive evaluation (122.7) about the winning streak in third place. Before the victory on Monday, however, his six victories came against teams with records. It had fought over 0.500 against teams and published an 8-16 brand in these matchups.

That was important to win over the Clipper. Los Angeles entered the game with 31-25 and made Detroit's victory his first in this series against a team with a winning record. With a discouraging schedule – including matchups against the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets – the maintenance of the dynamics will be a challenge.

Even if the strip ends soon, the pistons have proven that they are no longer a subsequent thought. Cunningham plays at the elite level, surrounded by the strongest secondary cast of his career. Detroit may not be a title contender yet, but it is firm in the mix – and for the first time in years a legitimate playoff threat.
