Forest Service Team is fighting for the cultivation of brush fire in Südflorida

Miami-Dade County, Fla. – With a bright orange Bambi -bucket, a team from Florida Forest Service worked to delete a brush fire that has grown in South Florida in the last few days.

Kevin Macewen, a supervisor of Florida Forest Service, said the flames spread over 700 acres, but the hard -working team contained about 60% of them.

The team worked on Friday evening near Southwest 344 Street and 117 Avenue in the Deep Southern Miami-Dade County.

“We are not sure what started. I am sure that it was caused by humans, ”said Macewen. “There was no flash.”

Macewen said that the overly dry season of her mission did not help, but the brush fire was not a threat to a structure.

“It's in a good place. We hope that we have completed this in a few days, ”said Macewen.

Brandon Orr, a meteorologist of Local 10 News, said that there is a moderate to heavy drought in large parts of South Florida. That could lead to more brush fire.

“If we look at the prediction and long -term models, we really don't see much rain in the way,” said Orr from the local headquarters of the weather authority of 10 messages.

Macewen said the Florida Forest Service is expected to expect hardworking in March, April and May, and he asked the public to be careful.

“Simply use common sense and do not use anything that could catch the forest because it becomes a great operation,” said Macewen.
