Forgot Chatgpt – Google Gemini can now see the world with live video and screen release

The AI assistant from Google, Gemini, will introduce exciting functions to offer Android users new opportunities to interact with their devices more intuitively. With the use of extended functions, Gemini users will shortly enable questions to ask questions on their screens, similar to the screen release function, which is currently available in Gemini 2.0 on the desktop.

In a recent announcement, Google presented these Gemini functions that focus on real-time interaction and on-screen requests. These functions are part of the Google project Astra.

With the screen sharing function, users can release their screens with Gemini and ask questions based on displayed content. For example, when looking at a picture of a jacket, a user can ask for shoe recommendations to supplement the clothes.

The live video interactions, which are undoubtedly a direct response to Chatgpt's language and vision option, can have users in real-time talks about their surroundings by enabling the camera within the Gemini app.
