Four star defender Izayia Williams mediates to Florida

Four stars 2026 Defender Izayia Williams, No. 52 in the ESPN Junior 300, announced his commitment to Florida on Thursday evening and ended up as the highest view in the Gator of Gator 2026.

Williams projects as security or linebackers at the next level and committed himself in Syracuse and Florida State last year. Williams is security No. 6 in ESPN's ranking for the cycle 2026.

“Recruitment 100% closed,” published Williams on social media.

The commitment on Thursday is the latest step in a vertebral wind recruitment for the 6-foot 1, 215 pound defender from Tavares, Florida.

Williams initially committed Syracus in April, before pulling his promise from orange in August, weeks before his junior season at the Tavares High School. Later he promised to Florida State in autumn, but later in the last weeks of the catastrophic 2:10 process of the program in the season of the program from the Seminoles class.

In the middle of this movement, Williams entered an open recruitment in 2025 before narrowing her to Florida, Penn State, Alabama, Georgia and Florida State. On January 18, he took part in a Junior Day event with the Seminols and later received a visit from home from Napier this month before Thursday evening.

Williams joins the Gator class 2026 after taking up 125 duels and four sacks in his junior season. All three commits in Florida in the 2026 cycle come from the in-state when Williams Griffin and three-star security Devon Jackson follow.
