From INBEV, less beer sells, but reports record income

From INBEV, the world's largest brewer, 2 percent recorded by 2 percent last year, but the company still achieved record income, said the company based in Leuven on Wednesday.

In 2024, 575.7 million hectoliters sold beer and other drinks from INBEV, which decreased from 1.4 percent compared to the previous year. The turnover of his own beer brands fell by 2 percent to 495.5 million hectoliters.

The company attributed the decline to a “weak consumer climate in China and Argentina”. With the exception of these markets, AB Inbev recorded an increase in sales by 0.9 percent.

However, sales per hectoliter increased by 4.3 percent, which is due to “disciplined price strategies and premium”. When the beer prices rose, the total turnover from INBEV achieved a record of $ 59.8 billion (57 billion euros), an increase of 2.7 percent compared to 2023.

The normalized EBITDA (result before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) rose by more than 8 percent to $ 20.9 billion, and increased by net profit by $ 7.6 percent.

The Board of Directors proposed a dividend of 1 euro per share.

Growth plans

From INBEV says it is planning to invest in long -term growth and expects his EBITDA to be “in accordance with our medium -term outlook of 4 to 8 percent of growth”.

The brewing is best known for brands such as Corona, Budweiser, Stella Artois, Jupiler and Leffe. It employs around 144,000 people worldwide and is listed on the Brussels stock exchange as part of the BEL20 index.
