From the sidelines: Baseball at the beginning of the 162-game MLB season | Split

Ah, spring when the chic man of an old man turns into thought … baseball.

My Chicago Cubs are the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers in Tokyo on March 18 to 19.

Twenty -six other teams in the Major League Baseball celebrate the opening day on March 27. Originally, each team should be in action on this date. However, the Matchup Colorado Rockies-Tampa Bay Rays was postponed to March 28th to prepare more time for the preparation of George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. This facility, the spring training of the New York Yankees, will serve as Rays' Home Park in 2025, since the Tropicana field was damaged in Hurricane Milton in October last October.

The Cubs looked good in spring and went 11: 5 in the Cactus League in Arizona. The Dodgers went 12-8, but this was just a spring training.

Chicago has made remarkable additions such as the right field player Kyle Tucker and relief Pitcher Ryan Pressly in front of the Houston Astros.

These two games against the defending champion Dodgers are a nice early test to recognize our progress. Go, cubs, go.
