Nobody captures the essence of heartache like Gabito Ballesteros.

On Thursday, March 6th, People will exclusively perform the music video for Ballesteros' Latest Single “Perdido” (Spanish for “Lost”). The route is his most personal so far – when it deals with topics of love, loss and emotional turbulence.

“'Perdido' is one of the most personal songs I have published. It is about the feeling of being lost in heartache, escaping the pain, but realizing that nothing really fulfills the emptiness, “says 25-year-old singer-songwriter, says only people.

He continues: “I wanted to capture this raw emotions – loneliness, regret and the struggle to continue.”

In the music video, the spectators find ball yesters at a slightly lit table alone with a drink in the hand, in the middle of a room with red roses and a room decorated with chandeliers.

When he goes to the melancholic texts, the Mexican star – who wears a black suit – lights up a bouquet of roses in flames. At the end of the picture, he stares at the flame and watches you burn in ashes.

For Ballesteros, each piece of the music video was a symbol of his experience with heartache – and “reflecting emotions in the texts”.

“With the music video for life” Perdido “was an emotional experience,” he says.

In addition, “the roses, the weak lighting and the burning bouquet symbolize the pain and passion behind the song.”

He comes to the conclusion: “I hope the fans can feel the depth of the story when you see them.”
