Gainesville Lucas Oil Series -time plan clarified

Due to the bad weather, races in the Sportsman courses of the Lucas Oil series and the showdown for FlexJet Factory Stock were not completed as planned during the Amalie Motor oil Nhra Gatornational.

“After consulting the remaining racing drivers in each category, the decision was made to postpone the remaining final eliminations to separate venues in order to complete the event,” said Jason Galvin, Nhra Sportsman Manager. “As soon as it turned out that the event could not be completed as planned, the NHRA officials worked closely with all remaining competitors in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing series to find events that correspond to the planned schedules in every category.

Galvin continued: “While the circumstances were unhappy, the efforts of the Southeast Division Director Cody Savage and his team to work together with racing drivers from all over the country and find pleasant options to find the continuing efforts to communicate and collaboration with Sportsman racing drivers in order to find pleasant solutions for both sides if a race is not as planned.”

The following is an overview of the Lucas Oil Series category and the changed schedule.

The top alcohol Funny Car Final with Chip Beverett and Low Qualifier Sean Bellemeur will now be completed during the upcoming 4th Nationals at Zmax Dragway.

There are still 12 racing drivers in Compalinator, and the decision was made to move the final elimination to the Nhra Carolina National in Charlotte in September.

There are nine drivers left in Super Stock. Brenda Grubbs, Troy Huntzberry, Kevin Helms, Ronald Huntzberry, Cliff Hynson, Pete D'Agnolo, Joe Santangelo, Michael Howard and Anthony Bertozzi. You have agreed to end your final elimination during the Summit Racing Equipment Nhra National in Norwalk.

The 4-wide nationals in Charlotte will also be the final elimination in stock, which contain the semi-finalists Shane Oakes, John Gray and Cody Phillips.

There are 16 drivers left in Super Comp, including Ken Farrell, Robert Houcon, Wayne Landry, Kent Hanley, Kyle Anderson, Kevin Brannon, Rusty Cook, Kathleen Smulligan, John Theofelis, Sherman Adcock Jr., Ray Miller, Christopher Cepellka, Colby Fuller, Hugh Meeks. You will complete the last four elimination rounds at the Super Grip Nhra Thunder Valley National in Bristol Dragway.

The semi -finalists in Supergas, Jason McCandless, JJ Brock, Jason Dewitt and Robert Fuller also came to a consensus to end their final elimination in Bristol Dragway during the Super GRIP NHRA Thunder Valley National.

Bristol Dragway also organizes the last rounds of the top dragsters and the top Sportsman classes of the right trailer. There are nine drivers left in the top dragster, while after the opening round of the top athletes, 15 drivers remain.

The Flexjet Factory Stock showdown was also delayed by the weather. The four remaining drivers; Lee Hartman, Jason Dietsch, Lenny Lottig and Doug Hamp will drive during the Gerber collision and the GLA -NHRA -Route 66 National, which are presented by Peak Performance on Route 66 Raceway in Joliet.

After all, the schedule for the top alcohol dragster class must still be announced. The field was distributed in the semi -finals with Jackie Fricke, Jamie Noonan and Matthew Cummings in competition.

NHRA officers have also announced that racing drivers who remain in the competition still have the opportunity to withdraw from the event, and it will not be a seasonal point.
