Garrett quits Albertin as the next football head coach | an | sport

Garrett, Ind. (Wfft) – For the first time since 2012, the football team of Garrett Railroaders is run by a new head coach.

The school announced Chris Albertin as the latest leader of the football program on Monday evening.

Albertin was most recently defensive coordinator of the 2024 RailRoaders.

Since Albertin led the defense, Garrett carried an unbeaten regular season and made a playoff run after semi-advised.

In eight of their games, the Rail Roaders held 14 points or less, among other things, in a season opening victory against the possible 2A-State champion Adams Central.

Before he came to Garrett, Albertin worked as a defensive coordinator in Woodlan.

He served as head coach for two games after Woodlan's departure in the part -season of Woodlan's head coach.

Albertin will take the reign of a Garrett program that was led by Chris Depew in the last 13 seasons.

The RailRaders won 80 games and two regional titles in Depew's term.
