Gasbuddy: Peoria gas prices decrease after the national trend of some cent

Peoria, Ill. – The average gas prices in Peoria dropped by 2.5 cents per gallon last week last week and have an average of 3.23 US dollars on Monday. This emerges from Gasbuddy's survey among 148 stations in Peoria.

The prices in Peoria are just more than five cents less than a month ago and almost 34 cents lower than this time last year.

Gasbuddy price reports show the cheapest gas in Peoria on Sunday $ 3.05 per gallon, while the most expensive gas was 3.39 US dollars. The lowest price in the state was 2.74 US dollars and the gas at the highest price in Illinois on Sunday 4.49 US dollars.

The national average price for lead -free petrol has dropped something over a penny last week and has an average of 3.02 US dollars on Monday.

“With increasing concerns about tariffs and political uncertainties, gas prices in large parts of the country have decreased further, which increases the possibility that the national average can slide below 3 US dollars per gallon and have approached some of the lowest prices for years,” says Patrick de Haan, head of the petroleum analysis at gas buddy.

“However, this decline should not necessarily be celebrated because it goes hand in hand with strong warning signs. When the economy slows down, the Benzinnäch question – together with the demand for other sophisticated products such as Diesel and Jet -Fuel, drops. We have already seen some signals that the coming months could be a challenge. All of this indicates that gas prices will probably remain low for the time being. However, if the economic conditions improve, gas prices could finally follow the example and rise again, ”says de Haan.

According to AAA Illinois, the average price for lead -free gas in the U -Bahn area of Peoria/Pekin was $ 3.23 per gallon on Monday, the state average was USA 3.24 and the national average price for gas 3.07.
