Gasleck closes the streets in the city center of Bethesda

The staff of the police and rescue service (Montgomery County County Fire and Rescue Service) reacted to a gas leak in the city center of Bethesda after the Montgomery Avenue had hit a 2-inch gas line Tuesday morning, according to MCFS spokesman Pete Piringer.

The district police closed the 4200 block of the Montgomery Avenue, where the leak was created, and near streets, such a position on social media.

The police advised drivers to look for an alternative route around 11:30 a.m. and expected considerable traffic delays.

According to Piringer, the buildings are measured near the leak and can be evacuated if necessary.

The Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, which is located near the 4301 East-West Highway, divided families to the families at 11:47 a.m. that the school would continue to operate as normal. Although there are a number of gas department and fire engines in the region, the authorities confirmed that the school has no danger.
