George Mason breaks the NCAA baseball record with 23 runs in 1 inning without meeting a Homerun

Turn your eyes off, Holy Cross -Baseball fans. Tuesday was not your day.

George Mason spreads on the Holy Cross in one afternoon, which runs into a NCAA record 23 in a single inner. By George MasonThe previous record for runs in a single inning of a NCAA baseball game was 21, which was shared by Wichita State (1984) and Penn State (1983).

With the crusaders, the patriots entered the top of the second inner in a goalless draw. They went 23-0 on the way to a 26: 6 victory. Perhaps the most remarkable: you did everything without meeting a Homerun.

But that was not the only outstanding status from George Mason's monstrous inning. There was a lot.

In total, George Mason sent 31 batters on the plate in the Inning. The rush forced the Holy Cross to use five pitchers. The inning contained five goals from Pitch, two mistakes, two stolen bases, one ball and 11 hits.

And the patriots have done all of their damage after holding the inning with an out. The Leadoff Schlagmann Jake Butler built the third base on a colorfully. This was followed by two walks and a passed ball before the student Jonny Wall distributed the first run of the game with an RBI single.

From there the locks were open. George Mason distributed 19 Runs when Holy Cross recorded the second from the inning on a pop fly to Shortstop. Three walks, two singles and one double later, and the patriots stated four other runs to secure 23 in the Inning and a new NCAA record.

The inning then gracious with the choice of a field player. George Mason stranded two runners.

When the game was over, George Mason had recorded twice as many runs (26) as hits (13). Six of the hits were doubles and none were triple. As already mentioned, there were no homes. A total of 12 George Mason Batters went.

Eight George Mason Batters made up all RBI without the player being more than four. Ten different batteries crossed the home plate, scoring three points each.

Fortunately for Holy Cross, there is no video evidence for the procedures on Tuesday on social media. Just a box score and play-by-play that you have never seen before and it is unlikely that you will see again.
