Give America's circuit another date

1. The return to Austin next year shouldn't even be a debate

On the whole, the move to Nascar on the Circuit of the America was a success. Sure, there were some different weather challenges, but which facility does not have?

Since 2021, the Nascar events have delivered there from the point of view of the excitement. With excuses to the Chicago Street Course, Cota is an actual road course and creates an environment, especially with this year's shorter course, which shows the ability to street breed and nowadays a trendy term: “Race Craft”.

Therefore, it is puzzling that future events are not locked up on this route.

Remember this is not a track from Speedway Motorsports, but rented out this race. If the Brain Trust in Cabarrus County, NC, had a track for which it needed a date, it would have to make difficult decisions to expand its footprint in the top series of sport. It would not be the first time – see Kentucky Speedway at the expense of the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

With a hunger to extend the schedule to new markets, places that do not produce should be aware of the route and in the fan environment.

However, the route in Austin should not be one of them.

2. Invociations should be the race, not a VIP

If their formative years contained the Daytona 500 on CBS as a racing fan, the chances are good that they will remember a pioneering load by the deceased, large HAL Marchman. He just kept it and offered all competitors short and concise security prayers.

If you are a pastor of any kind that is a racing fan, it is a bucket list to pray publicly for the safety of the drivers. For this reason, it was puzzled on Sunday that the appeal of… Riley Gaines was offered.

Are you trying to tell me that there wasn't a single pastor available for the job in the Great State of Texas? Some former pastors of the United Methodist Church Church may be more difficult to find, depending on where their new denomination took them, but it is breathtaking that in Texas there was no pastor or chaplain on the microphone.

Not only that, but it was not presented as a pastor, preacher or evangelist. But as … the host of a podcast on Outkick.com. In this way, you may expect a national anthem singer to be presented as an indication of your talent. What does a podcast host have to do with a call?

Yes, the same outkick that has followed a clickbait bonanza about everything that Bubba Wallace has with descriptive headlines in relation to Wallace:

“Floors themselves”
“Share Nascar fans with his Juneteenth message”
“Act like a child”

Then why is someone part of events before the race that is associated with stirring vitriol against one of the sports drivers?

To be honest, what did the decision -makers think before the race?

Forget what was prayed during the appeal. Pastor Joe Nelms from Tennessee taught us that everything can happen with a call to the microphone.

But if someone is the face of ceremonies in front of the race for these few seconds, she and the sport will be put in the middle.

Many people are enthusiastic about one side of a problem that represents Riley Gaines. Others are passionate about the other.

If a moment that deals with the safety of the drivers is transformed into a moment of public, he questions how much celebrations should be broadcast on television before the race.

Sports events occur constantly where the national anthem, prayer before the game and such and are not transferred on television. If the goal is to ensure that a call is broadcast, he questions the reason why it is primarily.

3 .. The trace limits should correspond to your conclusion

Superspeedways have the yellow line rule. In theory, road courses have track limits. Both are available for the interest of driver safety. Last weekend in Cota was a strong case of the law with unintentional consequences.

In order to express it easily, the enforcement of track boundaries was inconsistent, and if you have the driver and crew bosses who also tried to get a feeling for these limits, it makes things more confusing.

The intention of these track limits is a noble goal. If you drive the drivers in the grass for free, ask for Bedlam.

Charlotte Motor Speedway may have developed a tactic for its Speedway Motorsports brothers to use the placement of the turtles, although the four-inch items were replaced by containment last autumn. Did the turtles cause an impressive influence? Yes, but the drivers don't probably take a chance to run the course if this risk is available on this route or even additional rumble strips.

Regardless of this, NASCAR needs a better option for driver safety than the track limits.

4. Is there something like motivated?

A young driver who is increasing with high expectations of great equipment that keeps themselves a high standard.

Over the weekend, Connor Zil, despite a victory in the Nascar Xfinity series race on Saturday, complained in Cota instead of complaining in the fame of a victory, instead how he could have done better.

He is hardly the first driver with this mentality. Until he finally broke through for his first victory of the Nascar Cup series, it was not difficult to find a sound bite from Chase Elliott, who beat up. Elliott was far from the only driver who knew well that incredible equipment would expect high performance.

If someone drove like this, there are two ways to take the intake-geder for this driver to have a bowl to be successful, no matter what, or to be so bright that the sight of the main thing is lost.

How great can Zil be? In the future, this story will say how he deals with the drive to Excellence.

5. Chase Briscoe urgently needs luck

The falling of the checkered flag in the Daytona 500 seemed to provide Chase Briscoe a strong start behind the wheel of his new journey with Joe Gibbs Racing. Instead, it was as if a black cloud over the No. 19.

When everyone was unloaded on the Atlanta Motor Speedway next week, Briscoe was fallen onto the bottom of the stack thanks to a punishment for a modified single source component and the loss of 100 driver points and 10 playoff points.

There is pressure and Briscoe knows. He even noticed in Atlanta about a higher degree of expectation knew how to know how much better equipment JGR compete compared to what he drove in the past.

That is why Briscoe needs a good goal this weekend on the Phoenix Raceway. After a Pole position on the Daytona International Speedway, Briscoe has not qualified more than the 18th place and is no better than the 14th place.

When a driver is together with a new team, you have to do good things early to get the feeling of being on the right track. Briscoe will soon need that, and Phoenix would be exactly the ticket, as another outstanding route will occur on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway next week.
