Glendal voters sensitizes awareness after receiving mailers with a false election date

Milwaukee – Nick Iannone believes that it is of crucial importance to fill your ballot paper, especially in the coming spring elections.

“I'm trying to stay informed,” said Iannone. “I like Wisconsin. I have opinions about where I want to go. “

He is no unknown if he received political mailers and advertisements on behalf of and directly from candidates, but one recently noticed.

“First of all, the date is wrong,” said Iannone. “The election will take place on April 1st, and this says April 11, so that I obviously noticed.”

The postcard was a handwritten note that judges Susan Crawford used in the race of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin.

Iannone was not alone. After posting on Reddit, others interfered.

“It turns out that many people have received similar postcards,” said Iannone.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission confirmed TMJ4 that it had received several reports about these or similar postcards that was sent with a group of third -party providers with the wrong date.

A spokesman for the Crawford campaign partially provided this explanation:

“Our campaign is not connected or associated with these postcards. There is a lot of wrong information in this race, including the deception paid by Elon Musk. We encourage voters to visit myvote.wi.gov and make a plan to make your ballot paper on April 1st.”

TMJ4 wanted to see if other people could recognize the mistake on the postcard. Many could not at first.

As soon as Jimmie and Madeline were aware of, intended or not, they both considered them as a problem.

“If you sent these cards and how many you sent out, you know that it is misleading people. They don't want to choose from misleading people, ”said Jimmie Blackmon.

“I mean it is crazy because if you rely on it and appear on the surveys for 10 days late, you cannot go back and adequately coordinate. I don't think you can do that, ”said Madeline Witte.

TMJ4 turned to the Brad Schimel campaign, but received no answer.
