Goats increases the traction in the United States, strengthened by trend product offers from Thomas Foods International


Goat delivers important claims that drive purchase decisions among us consumers

Swedesboro, New Jersey – One of the most consumed proteins in the world and the goat is gaining traction on the US market. The goat sales in all food formats in 2024 amounted to 27 million US dollars with sales of units at 3.5 million (Nielsen). Interestingly and for the perspective, the goat sales according to volume and value in the US supermarket channel 2023 were significantly higher than Bison sales despite the availability of bison in supermarkets. The total value of the goat sales in the entire US supermarket channel with Circana data in 2023 was $ 16,486,897 with sales of units of $ 2,786,901, while 411,997 bison products with a sales value of 5,168 US dollars were sold.
