Google Deepmind sets the prices for VEO 2 AI Videogenization

Google Deepmind has unveiled the cost structure for its VEO 2 video -video model, which is available via its Cloud API platform.

Creating a video with VEO 2 costs $ 0.50 per second in the Vertex Cloud (via Google Deepmind researcher Jon Barron) -that's 1,800 US dollars per hour. For comparison: Barron points out that the blockbuster “Avengers: Endgame” costs around 32,000 US dollars per second to produce with conventional methods.

VEO 2 is not the cheapest option out there -it costs more than Openai's Sora for $ 200 per month without a usage cap -it is still a bargain compared to conventional filmmaking.
