Governor Polis celebrates the 1st Canada-Colorado friendship day

Denver, Colorado (KKTV) – Governor Jared Polis celebrated the first Canadian Colorado friendship day.

Polis increased the Canadian flag in Colorado State Capitol on Saturday to highlight the partnership between Colorado and Canada.

The governor's office emphasized the trade relationship between the two and said that Colorado were in Colorado in Colorado in 2023 and exported products in Canada, which made 18% of trading exports in Colorado.

“Today's Canadian flag is a symbol of our friendship and shows that we expand our economy and make the people of both sovereign nations better off,” said Polis.

This event takes place after Polis reacted to a tariff in Canada, Mexico and China through an executive order to President Donald Trump's tariffs.

Polis commented on the decision and claimed that the tariffs “increase the costs from all foods to gas”.
