Greg Tibbitt returns to another stay as head coach Minden Press-Herald to Glenbrook

A well -known face of some Apache fans was appointed head coach of football in Glenbrook.

Greg Tibbitt, who headed the program from 2012 to 2013, was discontinued as the new head of the program. The Glenbrook sports director made the announcement on Sunday.

Tibbitt replaces Reagan Smith, who led the program in the last two seasons.

Tibbitt put together a record of 15-9 in his two seasons, including a 9-4 mark and maize semi-final in 2013.

Tibbitt returns to Minden after working as head coach and sports director at the Green Forest High School in Arkansas, where he led the program to first place in 4a playoff in school history. Now he wants to bring his experiences, leadership and passion back to the Apache.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to return to Glenbrook as a new Cheff football coach and to build on the rich tradition and recent successes of the Apache football program,” said Tibbitt in a press release.

“I will concentrate on continuing the dynamics and working on the development of a championship caliber program that will maintain success in the coming years.”

“Trainer Tibbitt originally brought me to Glenbrook in 2012, and our two together were some of the best years of my 24-year career,” said Thurman.

“He built up a culture of hard work and accountability, and every player who was suitable for him respected and admired him. There is no doubt that he will today convey the same standard of excellence in our program. He not only trains football – he develops young men who will leave Glenbrook better than they arrived. “

“Tibbits leadership was instrumental in the earlier success of Glenbrook, and expectations are high for his return,” says the press release. “His focus will focus on taking a winning hero, promoting discipline and building a culture of toughness and accountability – both on and outside the field.”
