When Blanchard was asked about raising a daughter about her personal feelings, she said that she felt a bit “relieved” to have a girl rather than a boy.

“I feel a bit more relieved than we had a girl because I don't know what to do with a little boy,” she admitted. “I am a girlish girl myself, all the pink and ruffles and things like that is my field.”

“Despite my relationship with my mother, I think that the relationship of a mother and daughter has something special that I am blessed so that I can live with her because I didn't have it with my own mother,” added Blanchard. “It's nice that I can simply get into this role of a mother and see how it should be.”
