Haidilao in China had to pay in broth after urinating teenagers

A video of drunken teenagers who urinate in a broth in a restaurant in China became viral and forced the restaurant to compensate for 4,000 guests.

According to the BBC, two 17-year-old men in the Shanghai branch of Haidilao, the country's largest hotpot chain, carried out the unsanitary act on February 24 in a private dining room in the restaurant.

Haidilao admitted that her employees, who worked that night that night, could not stop the teenagers, and claimed that, according to CNN, they were only made aware of the evil situation four days later.

Then the company, which has more than 1,000 restaurants worldwide, confirmed the place where the gross scene took place until March 6.

Haidilao guests use their own personal hotpot to cook their food, so that apparently nobody consumed the meal loaded by the urine.

However, it remains unclear whether the hotpot that the teenagers used was properly disinfected before it was given to the next customer.

Since then, Haidilao has assured the public that it has replaced all hotpot devices and dining -offs and disinfected other dishes and utensils.

“We fully understand that the burden that our customers are caused by this incident cannot be fully compensated,” said the company in an explanation. “We are ready to do our best to take responsibility.”

The restaurant reported the case of the police in Jianyang, Sichuan, where the franchise has its headquarters, and the police said that the responsible teenagers were arrested after the incident.

Those who ate in the restaurant between February 24 and March 8 will receive a complete refund and a money remuneration, the 10 times the amount they had invoiced.
