Hard negotiations lead to great savings from the Scorpene -U boat with France

Neu -Delhi, March 17: The initial price of France and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) for the three additional U -boats of the Scorpen class was 75,000 billion rupees, but the Indian Ministry of Defense negotiated a discount of almost 40,000 rupees.

The price for the U -boats is now around 36,000 rupees and the discount will lead to mega savings for projects by the Indian Navy and the other two defense services. The price was offered jointly by the MDL, Bharat Electronics Limited and the French side.

The Mod acquisition wing has given in hard negotiations with providers and was able to save thousands or crores of the tax money.
