Hass copilot? Microsoft has just published a Windows update that incorrectly deletes the AI ​​assistant

The words “well -known problems” in relation to updates for Windows are sufficient to achieve even the toughest computer users. Microsoft is certainly no stranger to publish updates who have problems – or if you want to have friendly, unintentional consequences. However, the latest snafu will probably like many people.

With the publication of the KB5053598 -Um -update for Windows 11, Microsoft recognized that it kills copilot for some people. While the company describes this as “uninstalled”, this is a mistake that could have many fans.

The March -update for Windows 11 was already known that it had problems with Roblox that made it impossible to download the game from the Microsoft Store. Another known problem means that a system with “certain Citrix components installed” may not be able to complete the installation of the Windows Security update from January 2025.

Both are somewhat irritating for all affected people.

But things may be different with the later recognized copilot problems. In the version instructions for the KB5053598 -update, Microsoft advises humans that the lover and lover -drawn AI assistant can be deleted by the update:

Symptoms

We are aware of one problem with the Microsoft Copilot app that affects some devices. The app is unintentionally uninstalled by the taskbar and not rejected.

Note: The Microsoft 365 Copilot app was not observed.

Problem bypass

Microsoft works on a solution to tackle this problem.

In the meantime, the affected users can reinstall the app from the Microsoft Store and manually adapt it to the taskbar.

Microsoft makes the problem bypass and says that it will soon fix the “problem”, but there is a possibility that there is a decent percentage of Windows 11 users who are happy to see the back of Copilot.
