Hayride turns

Palmyra, tenn. (WSMV) – A weekend – Hayride took a terrible turn for two families in Montgomery County when a driver not only fell against his trailer, but then opened the fire. The victims say they are still shocked.

What started as a fun Saturday evening on March 8 in Palmyra quickly became a nightmare. Lindsey Jones and Brianna Hogan and their families were on a Heusist when a black Dodge challenger headed them on a narrow country road.

“My fiance drove the tractor, and whenever he asked the driver, he said:” Hey, man, slower. “You know that somehow warn him to warn that there was a trailer on his back and other people. The driver of the car decided to accelerate his car into the side of our trailer and actually get to the side,” said Jones.

The chaos didn't end there. Moments later the driver pulled out a gun.

“He actually stopped his vehicle completely and put a pistol out of the window and began to shoot us on us and completely empty his gun in our direction,” recalled Jones.

Monitoring camera film material recorded the shots. When balls flew, Jones and Hogan, who is a police officer of Dickson, put on their four children and protected them in the trailer.

“He lively remembers the skipping of the gravel and the balls around our follower. This is one of the things he repeatedly appeals. He says: “You were right on the floor next to us.” It was so close, ”said Jones.

Although Hogan was injured in the crash, when the shots stopped, they made a run for it. Jones, who is eighth month pregnant, prayed when they took cover and ran.

“We had nothing to protect ourselves, and we only wanted to protect our children and make sure they would be fine,” said Hogan.

Timothy “Andrew” Jackson is now in connection with this case behind bars and is kept in a bond of $ 175,000. It is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, March 17th.

“I have the feeling that it was a god -all the time that all protects us,” said Jones.

While Jones hopes that justice will be served, she is only grateful that they have all managed home alive.
