Heating trend in SouthCentral Alaska

Anchorage, Alaska (Ktuu) – A sight that could not be seen in Anchorage often this winter – snow – fell into the city on Thursday.

Snowfall was measured at 3/10 -inch centimeters. If the city no longer gets snow by Friday, the month of February 2003 would hold on for the slightest snowfall.

An expansive low -pressure system rotates in the Gulf of Alaska and will be the primary weather producer in the next few days. Warmer air means rain and wet snow for a large part of the southern areas of the state.

Another winter storm warning for the Klondike Highway is in force above the northern Panhandle. A snowfall of 8 to 10 inches is likely and probably leads to slowdowns and hooks.

The temperatures of the zero hold the northern coasts of the state and inland up to the Brooks Range.

Wet weather has an impact on Südzentralalaska. Rain and wet snow will move on Saturday because the amounts of rain in relation to Prince William Sound and the Ostkenai peninsula will be the hardest.

Overall, warmer air will influence the rest of the state over the rest of the week and next week.
