Hellas Verona 1-0 Fiorentina: Match Report and Highlights

Before the game

The Fiorentina fans received a double price: the return of Moise Kean was the obvious positive, but a chance to finally observe the borrower Nicolás Valentini in action was also quite exciting. As was to be expected, the atmosphere due to the Gemellaggio between the viola and the Gialloblu was quite festive.

First half

To be honest, it was a pretty boring half. Fiorentina controlled the game mostly both inside and outside the possession, without the hosts who were happy to lean back, and counted the lack of cunning in the viola motor compartment to leave it quite comfortably, and so it took place. On the rare opportunity that something interesting began to build, Hellas Verona was happy to curb it with a foul (11 in half). In short, it was not a classic.

Second half

The second half continued in a similar way, although Verona created a few half a chance of fiorentina defects. Things took a scary turn when Kean was hit in the face by a flying knee and put on a massive cut on his face. He tried to come back, but collapsed moments later and had to be warded off. It was a frightening memory of how dangerous brain injuries are and just raises the question of how he was allowed to return to the pitch.

After the game was resolved, Raffaele Palladino had to make changes. Lucas Beltrán went forward and came Amir Richardson, Cher Ndour and Nicolò Fagioli. It is not surprising that Fiorentina looked pretty disgusting; The combination of new players in a strange positions and the terrority of observing a teammate explained awareness of the drop without excusing it. However, Verona was unable to increase his own intensity and the game was equipped in a miserable biscotto. Until Fiorentina did exactly what they would expect and a Farcical goal granted in added time.

Damned hell.

What's next

The top priority is the health of Moise Kean. Something went very wrong between the collapse and the fencing response, not least that he was allowed to return to the field. I cannot believe that doctors have approved. When someone is switched off like this, they're done.

However, the loss is Fiorentinas 2. In a row against a lower half, the 3. straight and opens the door for AC Milan and Bologna to overtake it. At the moment the viola stays on the 6th, but both the Rossoneri and the Oscar Meyers are only one point behind a game in the hand. It is of greater concern that Fiorentina only scored 9 points from 8 games against teams in the lower 5 when the viola played them. This is bad.
