Herzog, Auburn, Florida among the favorites in the SEC strict NCAA men's basketball tournament

March 17 (Upi) – Duke, Auburn and Florida are among the expected top competitors in the NCAA basketball tournament of the NCAA Division I, which contains 14 teams from the Southeastern Conference.

The annual March -Madness competition begins with the first four matchup between St. Francis No. 16 St. Francis and Alabama State State at 6.40 p.m. Edt Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio. The games will continue in San Antonio until the title on April 7th.

“For us, we have the feeling that it makes us the national champion of the regular season, but it is a tournament sport,” Tigers coach Bruce Pearl told reporters when he was asked about the top seed.

“We are six victories when we win our first national championship.”

The most placed Florida Gators (30-4) will begin their run on Friday against No. 16 Norfolk State (24-10). The Houston Cougars (30-4), the other top seeds, will compete in Southern Illinois University at their start on Thursday in Wichita, Kan, on Edwardsville (22-11).

No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide compete in the Blue Devils, Gator, Tigers and Cougars as TOP 5 favorites to win the title. Voluntary No. 2 Tennessee, No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders, No. 3 Iowa State Cyclones, No. 2 No. 2 State Spartans No. 2 and No. 2 St. Johns Red Storm, among other things, are expected competitors.

The Uconn Huskies No. 8 (23-10), who won the last two titles, are not among the top 10 favorites for the March Madness Crown.

Only two of the 16 teams of the SEC – LSU and South Carolina – were unable to cut the NCAA tournament, which set a record for most teams from a conference to participate. The Big East, who sent eleven teams for the tournament in 2011, organized the previous record.

No. 9 Baylors VJ Edgecompbe, No. 11 Texas' Tre Johnson, No. 4 Maryland's Derik Queen, Duke's Khaman Maluach and Kon Knueppel, Jase Richardson by Michigan State and Kasparas Jakucionis No. 6 are too watch.

No. 5 Memphis' PJ Haggerty, who takes third place in the nation with 21.8 points per game, is the top scorer. Donovan Dent (20.6) from New Mexico, Trey Kaufman no. No. 4 Purdue, and Jacob Ognacevic (20.1) No. 14 No. 14 Close Texas 'Johnson (19.8) and the Dukes' Flagg (18.9) among the others, from their professional bucket that are to be competed.

Ryan Nembhard von Gonzaga, who has an average of the best 9.8 templates per game this season, will try to lead the Bulldogs in disputes. Purdue's Braden Smith (8.7), Zakai Zeigler from Tennessee (7.3) and Steven Ashworth (6.8) No. 9 Creighton are among the other top assistants in the tournament.

Nelly Joseph (11.2) by New Mexico, Norchad Omier von Baylor (10.9) and Johni Broome (10.6) from Auburn are among the top rebounders.

A total of 32 teams will climb into the second round on Saturday and Sunday. Sweet 16 games are March 28th and 28th. The elite eight will be on March 29 and 30. Final four games wants Beapril 5 in San Antonio. The final and final are broadcast on CBS.
