The coloring of Chicago River takes place well within the high wind guard, with the river colored green on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The coloring begins west of the Columbus Drive Bridge in the east of Orleans Street in front of Wolf Point. The bridges remain closed for spectators during the river dye, although the bridges of Columbus, Lasalle and Orleans remain open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

For the event, the Chicago Riuchaft will be closed from 11 p.m. from 11 p.m. from 11 p.m. from 11 p.m. from 11 p.m.

The river color can also be viewed along the river from the Upper Wacker Drive.

Shortly after the river color, the parade of the Chicago St. Patrick's Day will cede at the intersection of Balbo Drive and Columbus Drive from 12.15 p.m., with the parade going north to the Monroe Street.

The road closures for the parade could start at 8 a.m., also on Columbus Drive from Roosevelt Road to the Wacker Drive and the East/west roads within these borders.

In addition, streets within the border of the Monroe Street are closed between the Michigan Avenue and the Dusable Lake Shore Drive.

According to officials, entry into the Parade route on Columbus Drive begins at 11 a.m. and is only approved at Jackson and Ida B. Wells Drive. All entry points have security control points at which all bags are checked.
