Highlights of the 44 points of Brayden Burries in the Californian state championship game

Sacramento – The senior of Roosevelt, Brayden Burries, made a show on Saturday evening in the Golden 1 center in Sacramento.

The 5-star shooter and 2025 McDonald's all-American Goss 44 points on 15 out of 22 shootings from the field, including 4 out of 6 from the 3-point line and 10 out of 12 from the free-wing line. He also grabbed 12 rebounds.

The historical performance led Roosevelt to his first title of the CIF State Open Division with an 80-60 victory against Archbishop Riordan, who ended the California treble and won the Open Division, Regional and State Crowns.

The 44 points of Burries is the final of the Open Division Final Single Game Scoring Record. He also broke the record for field goals in the open final (10). The brand sits together with Alijah Arenen on the second all-time time for points in a CIF state, regardless of the division.

Only one player has ever achieved more. Tracy Murray scored 64 points in the final of the CIF State Division II in 1989.
