Hilltop apartment fire harms 8 units

One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire on Sunday afternoon. The residents of the area were asked for strong smoke to stay inside.

Virginia Beach, especially – a fire in the Hilltop area of ​​Virginia Beach damaged eight residential units on Sunday afternoon.

According to the fire department of Virginia Beach, the fire on Prince Albert Court was reported at 4:26 p.m. When the crews arrived at 4:33 p.m., they saw strong smoke and flames from the roof of the second history.

The crews had water on the fire at 4:40, but they called a second alarm four minutes later because the fire quickly spread over the roof line, the fire brigade said. The fire was marked under control at 5:14 p.m. and marked at 5:52 a.m.

The residents in the area received an emergency notification reverse 911, who advise them to stay indoors and to avoid the area due to strong smoke in the air.

Everyone was able to evacuate the building safely, but one person was treated for smoke inhalation. They were not taken to a hospital. There were no further injuries for civilians, firefighters or pets.

Eight residential units have been damaged, but there is still no word about the number of displaced persons. Red cross was notified for families who need help.

The investigators are still on site and examine the cause of the fire.
