Hm Shah to take a check with NE CMS for 3 new criminal laws

Guwahati/Agartala, March 16 (Socialnews.xyz) Union Interior Minister Amit Shah will hold a meeting with the chief ministers of eight northeastern countries in Guwahat on Sunday to check the implementation of three new criminal laws that replaced the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and other laws in July last year.

An Assam government official said that the Interior Minister had participated in a series of programs in Assam and Mizoram since Friday (March 14). The Interior Minister would leave Guwahati to Neu -Delhi at night after holding the important meeting on three new criminal laws with the chief ministers of all eight northeastern countries.




“Hm Shah would keep the meeting with the eight cms in a hotel in Guwahati. He will check the implementation of the three new criminal laws in the eight northeastern countries, ”the official told Ians.

He said that the presentations were given by every northeastern state at the meeting to the progress of the implementation of three laws in their respective states.

The new laws of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakhya adhiniyam (BSA) replaced the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) last year.

According to a high -ranking civil servant, thousands of officials of numerous departments of all northeastern countries have trained through the three criminal laws.

Tripura Prime Minister Manik Saha, his Mizoram counter Lalduhoma and several other chief minister have already reached Guwahati to take part in the meeting on Bharatya Nyaya Sanhita's laws.

CM Saha held a meeting with the high -ranking officials of various departments in Agartala last week and checked the execution of the three new criminal laws in the state. The high -ranking officials of all those involved, including home, police, law, law enforcement, forensics, health and prisons, were present at the meeting.

An expert in criminal law said that around 200 different languages/dialects are used in the eight north -eastern countries. In the region, English and Hindi versions of the three new criminal laws would initially be used.
