How time blocks the schedule-die Antelope

haightm2@lopers.unk.edu

If I had to describe someone in a word college, I would say “busy”. I don't think it is another life of life (outside of parents) that is just as busy.

As college students, we deal a lot for our daily schedules. Sometimes it can't have time to relax or relax between teaching, working a job, participation in extracurricular, homework and hanging with friends.

In the last semester I was overwhelmed by my suddenly full schedule and my long task list. I had no system to organize my weekly responsibility, which felt disorganized as if there wasn't enough time in the day.

It is easy to underestimate the time that exists in one day. A simple plan can make a major contribution to increasing productivity and reducing stress.

There are many different ways of organizing and planning your day depending on your personal preferences.

Some students like to use a monthly calendar to pursue which events and tasks they either digitally, such as: B. Google calendar or on paper. There are even marker boards that can easily be changed from month to month.

Others prefer to use planners to pursue their daily responsibilities and tasks. Some people use digital planners apps, while others prefer to physically write and exceed tasks.

I had always used a planner in the past until my best friend put me and showed me how I blocked my week in time.

She gave me a piece of paper that was divided into columns for every weekday. There were lines on the left side of the columns, the times in 30-minute steps from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Every Sunday I block my week by publishing what I planned every day. The edges during each day can also be used to list tasks that need to be done.

This form of time blocking combines daily events with tasks and keeps everything separately and still offers a complete overview of the week.

With their time -blocking way, people can be as creative or simple as they wish by using pencils, color coordinating tasks or even time closure digitally using an app. Temporary blocking also grants a feeling of satisfaction, since tasks and events can be crossed as long as all week.

It is easy to be overwhelmed by all the different methods for available time blocking. Start small and slowly experiment to find out which solution works best.

Temporary blocking can allow the students to use their time more productively, and it can even lead to more free time.

Time blocking can also reduce fear, as the students can visually see what they can do on every weekday and can really enjoy their free time.

The balance is extremely important for the mental health of the students in college. While the time blocking is supposed to support productivity, it should not have the way of making new experiences. Remember to live at the moment, even if this occasionally rejects the schedule.

By putting aside for planning the coming week, we can use our time and make the best of our college experiences.
