How to see the mayor's debate from 2025 Oakland

KTVU will organize a debate between two candidates for the mayor of Oakland on Tuesday.

The background story:

The candidates will compete in a special election on April 15 after the recall of the former mayor Sheng Thao last year.

Since their recall in November, several city leaders have taken on the role, most recently Kevin Jenkins, who was appointed interim mayor in January.

Two leading candidates in the mayor race are the former representative Barbara Lee and the former member of the city council of Oakland, Loren Taylor.

The two candidates will debate on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Oakland Museum. The KTVU anchor Dave Clark will moderate the event.
