Howell Mill Road is reopened, protection on site

ATLANTA – – Part of the Howell Mill Road was closed for several hours on Thursday afternoon due to a natural gas leak.

According to Atlanta Fire Rescue, their crews reacted to the leak in the 1800 block of Howell Mill Road NW around 11:22 a.m.

What we know:

The traffic was diverted to avoid the Holly Street to Interstate 75 overpass. The traffic was allowed to flow again around 4:30 p.m.

You recommend that you repair people in the area as Atlanta gas and light to repair the high pressure leak. This has been lifted since then.

What we don't know:

It is unclear when the repairs would be completely complete.
