Hulu cuts Oscars Live Stream before the last two awards of the night

The Oscars became live stream for the first time on Sunday evening, but experience was not perfect. Hulu stood with several disorders, including one that broke off the live stream shortly before the last two major awards of the night.

With the best actress and the best known picture, Hulus Stream ended abruptly and showed a message: “Thanks for watching. This live event is over. You can end the reproduction and select something else to look at it. ”

Hulus parent company Disney recognized the disorder. “Tonight we experienced technical and live stream problems on Hulu, who affected some Oscars viewers. We apologize for the experience and will present a complete repetition of the event as soon as possible, ”said it.

As the deadline states, the problem with the length of the ceremony could be. It took 3 hours and 47 minutes, and Hulu may have only prepared 3 hours and 30 minutes, which led to the limit value of the last few minutes. (Even if awards always run late.)

However, that was not Hulu's first mistake for the night. According to the downdetector, the streaming service has experienced a failure around 7 p.m. The live event was just started and the subscribers could not register. Hulu taught the problem around 7:40 a.m. and repaired it an hour later.

It is not surprising that the viewers were not satisfied with the overall experience and were frustrated on social media. “This is bad. I tried to be fair, but I honestly think the Oscars show was a catastrophe for Hulu, ”a spectator posted on X.
