Human quantities gathered to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Philadelphia

Philadelphia (WPVI) – St. Patrick's Day is Monday and Philadelphia celebrates the luck of the Irish.

At the weekend the city was highlighted and emphasized Irish culture during St. Patrick's Day Parade, one of the oldest parades in the country.

Thousands lined Ben Franklin Parkway on Sunday to watch the celebration and to look at the music and dancing.

People who were present said they love the camaraderie.

“Just a great day to hang around with friends and have beef and cabbage corned,” said Jim Kenville from Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

This way of thinking lasted all day when the people in Philadelphia went into the bars to keep the party going.

“The atmosphere is definitely more solemn.

In McGillins Olde Ale House in Center City there was a dancing crowd where people were in a good mood and the green beer flowed.
