Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, an apartment complex on the Rime Village Drive was shaken with shots. Leave a teenager with non -life -threatening injuries.

A woman said her daughter was in front of her apartment complex when she drove a man in a dark sedan with the park in front of the window through the parking lot. When she went back in, she heard several shots.

Jesse Odland, who also lives there, said that at least six shots were fired.

“It could have been worse,” said Odland.

Odland refers to the dozens of children who play outside of their apartments every day after school.

He says he had his nine -year -old son played with all the other children all the time in 2024, but this year he says that he had heard at least 10 different cases of shots nearby.

And after what happened on Wednesday, Odland said that playing outside is no longer safe.

“My child said:” Is that fireworks? “, He said. 'No, son, that's not a fireworks. So you don't go outside much anymore.'

“I want my child to have this socialism. I want him to be outside in the sun. I want him to play like a normal child, but I can't let him get out of how it was with shots. “

According to Odland, several other parents have had the same concerns since last year.

The Huntsville police say that there were no arrests, and there are no current suspects.
