I tried the spicy diet cola that broke the internet – here is my honest evaluation

For my colleagues Cola devotees, they are probably immersed in the world of viral DC trends at least once. Perhaps you have dared to drink the notorious protein diet -Cola (a mixture of protein shake and diet -coke) or to test Tom Hanks' much more sophisticated preparation of diet -cola and champagne. Both, I have to say, are delicious.

But the latest diet -Cola experiment? Well, it's a little more … salt.

Dua lipas spicy diet -cola trend

The latest trend for viral diet -Cola is with the kind permission of pop star Dua Lipa, which unknown the Internet with a drink in Austin, Texas, during the ACL music festival. Your preparation: a diet -cola, mixed with inserted jalapeño juice and dill cucumber juice.

The trend increased quickly, and soon we saw all sorts of stars, from Hoda Kotb to Gordon Ramsay, to try out every time, followed by mixed reviews.

As a diet -Cola -enthusiast -and someone who is innocent on cucumbers directly out of the glass while I was standing in my kitchen -I knew that I had to try it immediately. Before I immersed in the taste test, I would not recognize myself if I recognized a universal truth among the Diet -Cola fans: Not all diet cokes are the same.

At the top of the pyramid is the specially grated dose diet cola, which has marinated in the fridge for at least a week-we speak incredibly cold. I will also mention the glass bottle as long as it was properly cooled. The Diet Cola Fountain Drink is in second place. It must come from the tap that is so crispy that it practically sparkles from my plastic cup. The ratio of ice to liquid is also important here; The ice should add the drink and not overwhelm it. The end of the third place is a plastic bottle of diet -cola – one last resort that is only consumed in the most despair.

For this experiment I had to give Duas mixture a fair shot, which meant gripping after the elite option: a can of diet -cola, which cooled patiently in my fridge three Weekly. At a promising start.

The viral video shows no precise measurements (it pours the juices directly from Deli containers), so I did my best to approach:

  • 1 ice-cold can of diet cola
  • A splash of inserted Jalapeño juice
  • A splash of dill cucumber juice

Spicy Diet Cola is not the way I thought it would be

I will be honest – it wasn't love for the first time.

I usually prefer my diet cola with a lime set, so this was one wild Demolation from my usual order first impressions: The heat of the Jalapeño juice is instantly and lingered longer than expected on the back of the neck. It is spicy in a way that sneaks on her, and even minutes later I could feel my tongue on fire.

Nevertheless, the Jalapeño juice cuts the sweetness of the soda in a way that is strangely pleasant. The cucumber juice adds a spicy, salty blow and the sodium provides a convincing (albeit wrong) feeling of hydration. Do you dare to say that could actually revive me in the morning after a night? Gatorade Zero Glacier Freeze, your days may be numbered.

One last remarkable observation: The combination of Signature Fizz from Diet Coke and the additional juices creates a foam layer, the settlement layer of which takes a few minutes, which creates a minor inconvenience for sipping.

Dua Lipa, you may be on something here –could be the key word. While this spicy-sweet creation was a unique experience, I will soon not exchange my usual lime set so quickly. But if you feel adventurous and need a brave, salty wake -up call, it is worth a sip. At least it is proof that Diet Cokes Fangemeinde will never stop experimenting.
