ICE fishing video: 40-inch north pipes …

As an enthusiastic ice rink, I can say that it was a good winter in the upper middle west in terms of ice quality and quality so far. In Minnesota we were blessed with cold temperatures and little snow, which is perfect for the production of solid ice.

In fact, this winter was one of the rare with great ice cream and a few weeks from zero snow, which enables special views, as highlighted in the Facebook video below. The ice is thicker than it appears in the video; My estimate is 4 inches, which is thick enough to go. ((Click here For a short video that explains how to safely check the ice thickness.)

The video was published on the Beyond the Catch Guide service Facebook page. Fyi: Beyond the Catch Guide Service (BTC) is a professional fishing charter that is operated and managed by Tommy Hicks. BTC offers outdoor adventure on the Lake Superior and other area lakes in North -Wisconsin. Hicks and his team offer excellent equipment and fish in both open water and on the ice.

Take a look at the video below this huge pike after it has been released.

One of the BTC customers (above) recently caught and published a heavy, more than 40-inch pike, and due to the thin, clear ice, you get a rare view of the fish when it slowly swimming away.

Note: Many of the Facebook comments on this video claim that it is a musk and they are 100 percent wrong. Others say the fish is injured and will die; You are also wrong. This trophy pile was treated correctly during the publication and quickly returned to the water. There is no reason to drive away; She just drives slowly and relaxes from the fight. It will not take long and it will put on the feed bag again.

However, I will push back the comment in the video about the pike with a weight of £ 25. This is possible, but I would suspect that 22 pounds, maybe 23 years old.
