Identity of the latest Stockton Shooting victim, 58, published

The Sheriff of San Joaquin County on Thursday examined the death of a 58-year-old Stockton man.

The MPs were hurried to the El Dorado Street and Lowell Avenue on Wednesday on Wednesday, after receiving a report about a man who needed medical help, the Sheriff office said. There they found the victim, which was later identified as Jose Ortiz from the Medical Examiner's Office of the San Joaquin County and suffered from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital in which he died.

The sheriff's office has not published any further information about the shootout or a possible suspect, but said that it would offer updates as soon as they are available.
