Los Angeles County offers a reward of 25,000 US dollars to solve a man's death in Westmont in South Los Angeles, the authorities said on Friday.

Picket and a friend of the family were outside and admired the friends' new car when a dark limousine drove up in front of the house.

The car stopped and a man left the passenger side. Then he opened the fire on the duo before flea in front of the scene.

The family's friend survived the attack.

“The pain, not to know who did this, continues to leave an incessant emptiness in his mother's life, his life partner and two 25 -year -old daughters, our family and all of his friends,” said Pickett's mother during a press conference on Friday morning. “Together we can honor Corey's memory and help prevent another family from enduring this kind of imaginable pain.”
