Included 2025 F1 Australian Grand Prix results according to Mercedes protest

Lando Norris transformed the pole position into the Australian Grand Prix of the season opening under mixed conditions.

The race started in wet conditions before a dry line later appeared before a sudden heavy rain shower caused chaos in the final phases.

Norris survived the chaos in front of the reigning world champion Max Verstappen and Mercedes' George Russell to win.

Williams' Alex Albon asked Rookie Kimi Antonelli a breathtaking fourth. The home hero Oscar Piatri ended ninth after turning in the rain, while six drivers crashed.

Isack Hadjar crashed round with the formation, while Jack Doohan and Carlos Sainz crashed in the first round. Fernando Alonso, Gabriel Bortoleto and Liam Lawson also found the barriers in Albert Park.

Note: The results were changed after the race after Mercedes successfully had a time penalty of five seconds for Kimi Antonelli in a review for an unsafe publication.

The Italian drops back to fourth place in the end, and Alex Albon was downgraded for Williams – his best result since fourth place at Abu Dhabi GP 2020.
